Happening Halloween Events and Fall Festivals

The Halloween season is right around the corner and with it comes a month full of exciting, fun-filled events for the entire family!

Starting September 29th: Bedners Farm Fresh Market, located at 12033 State Rd. 7, in Boynton Beach, will have hayrides, pumpkin patch, corn maze, caramel apples & more! (Event will run everyday except Tuesday)

October 6, Spooktacular Halloween Party with Palm Beach Parties at Pottery Barn Kids in the Gardens Mall. Craft and party ideas for the parents and crafts for the Kids. RSVP required. Click on link for more details. 

Thursday-Sundays in October starting Oct. 11: Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds: Southern Blvd., WPB - Open all October weekends (various times). Monster midway with thrill rides, tons of haunted houses, and more. Not recommended for small children.

October 12-14th, 19-21: Oktoberfest at the American German Club: 5111 Lantana Rd., Lake Worth. There will be live music, food, beer, carnival games & rides, and more!

October 13th: The 2nd Annual Kids Fest at Roger Dean Stadium will be a full day of activities for the kids including face painting, bounce houses, clowns, pumpkin patch, hay rides, and more! Roger Dean Stadium is located at 4751 Main St. in Jupiter.

October 14th: The Family Fun Fest Fall Festival at City Place invites you to trick or treat in your favorite costume, enjoy games, kids activities, live entertainment, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving contest, food, and more! City Place is located at 700 S. Rosemary Avenue #200 in West Palm Beach.

October 14th: The Family Fall Festival at the Mounts Botanical Garden 
located at 531 North Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Favorite activities include pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, seedling giveaways, rock climbing wall, bounce house, and more. Guests are encouraged to come in Halloween costume.

October 20th: The 3rd Annual Scarecrow Festival will take place at St. Ann Catholic School Field located at the corner of 4th St. & Olive Ave in West Palm Beach. The festival will feature Hitchiti Native American Dancers, hay rides, scavenger hunt in the Johnson History Museum, pumpkin decorating, corn husk doll making, and a corn shucking contest. 

October 20th: Old Fashioned Family Fall Festival located at 401 Maplewood Drive Generation Church Plaza in Jupiter. Families will enjoy train and pony rides, a photo booth, petting zoo, face painting, carnival style games, bounce houses,human hamster ball, live bands, fire hula hooping, and a fireworks show.

October 24th: The Great Pumpkin Night Out will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 9625 N Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens.Come enjoy a night full of games, trunk or treating, the MAZE, inflatables, great food, and live music that the whole family can enjoy.

October 26th: At the River Center's Spooky Swamp Halloween Party, families will get carried away in a hayride and kids can enjoy a bounce house, super hero photo opportunities, take-home crafts, games, snacks, and a costume parade. The River Center is located at 805 North US Highway 1 in Jupiter, FL.

October 26th: Kooky Halloween at the Jupiter Community Center, located at 200 Military Trail in Jupiter. Activities will include inflatable bounce houses, candy, music, prizes, games, and a flashlight Egg Haunt. Don't forget to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) to collect goodies.

October 26th: The Trunk 'R' Treat at First Presbyterian Church in Tequesta, located at 482 Tequesta Drive, will feature a unique family car trunk contest. There will also be a costume contest, pumpkin contest, fames, prizes, cupcake walk, facepainting, doggie boneyard, spooky house, and more.

October 26th: North Palm Beach's Spooktacular All-Nighter is an overnight, family camp-out held at Anchorage Park (603 Anchorage Dr. in North Palm Beach, FL). The night will be packed full with movies, ghost stories, a bonfire, roasting hotdogs, marshmallows, night games and more!

October 27th: The Boo Bash on the Boulevard: Fall Food & Wine Festival at Downtown at the Gardens is a spooktacular food and wine festival featuring a tasting of over 100 beers and wines. Families can also come to the Center Court  area and enjoy free, live music with Pee Wee Lewis and the Hues, costume contests, haunted train rides, food merchants, local artisans and more! Downtown at the Gardens is located at 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

October 27th: TurtleWeen 2012 at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, located at 14200 U.S. Highway One in Juno Beach.  This family-friendly event will include conservation-themed activities, a haunted house, photo booth, facepainting, jail & bail, and more.

October 27th: The 4th Annual Family Pumpkin Dive at the Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex located at 4404 Burns Road in Palm Beach Gardens. If you are looking for an extra unique Halloween experience, this event gives participants a chance to dive into a pool, retrieve a pumpkin, decorate it, andbring it home!

October 27th: Halloween on Safari at Lion Country Safari, located at 2003 Lion Country Safari Rd in Loxahatchee. Guest can visit trick or treat stations and enjoy a dance party, animal encounters, costume parade, and a pumpkin carving contest.

October 27-28th: The Haunted Pirate Fest (Ocean Ave. between Seacrest and NE 1st in downtown Boynton Beach) will be two days of pirate-themed family fun! Continuous entertainment, live music, food & drink, and haunted houses for all!

October 28th: "Family Fun Halloween" at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary located at 2500 Jupiter Park Drive in Jupiter. Described as "family-friendly yet spooky", this event will include a kids play area with animal encounters, crafts, trick or treat stops, pumpkin carving contest, face painting and a bounce house.

October 28th: HallowGreen at the Gardens Green Market will feature crafts, Boo to You tattoos, a pumpkin patch playtime area, Scarecrow Photo Corner, Jack-O-Lantern Lane, trick or treating, dance performances, and a costume parade! Gardens Green Market is located at 10500 North Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens.


Trick or Treating

Most children would agree that one of the most exciting parts of Halloween is trick-or-treating. Collecting, trading, and of course, eating your candy is always a special thrill. There are several local events that will allow children to do just that in both a safe and fun environment.


"Spookyville Trick or Treat" will run from October 19-21, 26-28, & 31st in the Yesteryear Village of the South Florida Fairgrounds, located at 9067 Southern Blvd. Spookyville offers a full night of safe trick or treating, expanded rides and games, food and drink, scavenger hunts, pumpkin bowling, and more.

"Boo at the Zoo" will run from October 19-21 and 26-28 at the Palm Beach Zoo located at 1301 Summit Boulevard in West Palm Beach. Festivities include trick-or-treating, children's crafts, hay stack hunt, decorate-your-own pumpkin patch, bounce house, face painting, dance parties, roving animal encounters, and everyone's favorite - costume contests!

October 26th: Halloween Night at the South Florida Museum, located at 4801 Dreher Trail North in West Palm Beach, invites all guests to enjoy a Spook-tacular Halloween. Dress your best for their costume contest while exploring the exhibits and exciting demos. You can trick or treat your way around the museum and collect scienterrific goodies.

October 26th: Halloween Hunt at Anchorage Park (603 Anchorage Dr. in North Palm Beach, FL). Kids can come in costume and bring a goody bag to collect all their treats!

On October 28th: Roger Dean Stadium, located at 4751 Main Street in Jupiter, will be hosting Family Church's Trunk or Treat. This event will be lots of fun for families and will include bounce houses, face painting, "trunk or treating", and new this year - prize for best decorated vehicle!

October 31st: At the Spook-Tacular Celebration at A Latte Fun, little ones are encouraged to arrive in their creepiest and silliest costumes for the Fang-tastic Costume Contest! There will be prizes and trick-or-treating. A Latte Fun is located in Downtown at the Gardens: 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue Suite #3115, Palm Beach Gardens, FL
