Friday, May 17 - Children's Research Station at Loggerhead Marinelife Center

The Children’s Research Station presented by the Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. Foundation exercises science skills in children through an experiential lab. Geared at children ages up to 12, the junior veterinary lab accommodates up to 10 children at a time during daily half hour programs, taking participants from sea turtle rescue to release.

Friday, May 17 - "Short Stories" presented by the Florida Classical Ballet Theatre

Short Stories will begin by enchanting the audience with a favorite scene from The Sleeping Beauty; Aurora’s Wedding. Following The Sleeping Beauty; Aurora’s Wedding is a piece from the company’s Ballet By The Book repertoire. The dancers will delight the audience through their interpretation of the children’s book “Artful Reading” set to music by Handel. The dancers will perform a tango with music by Astor Piazolla.  Lastly, the dancers perform Fish Tale with music by Mozart.  Fish Tale is set at the turn of the century at a seaside town and centers on a conman, a “mermaid”.

Saturday, May 18 - Community Day at the Abacoa Community Garden

There'll be something for everyone to do from pulling out old plants to lighter work like sowing cowpeas. "Cowpeas?!" you ask. Find out all about cowpeas and why you're planting them on Saturday the 18th! There are also fun activities for kids in the Children's Garden! Weed, mulch, etc. and enjoying great company (Work done is as needed, and a garden ALWAYS needs TLC) So grab your gloves and shovel! Invite/Bring your family, friends and neighbors! Saturday, May 18 - The Little Mermaid presented at the Kravis Center

Performers from Spotlight of Wellington Performing Arts Studio bring this Hans Christian Anderson story to life fusing music, dance, and song.  Anemone, an adventurous little mermaid, leaves her undersea realm for a sixteenth birthday excursion to the surface.  She hopes to find the prince of her dreams, whose statue she has found.  Accompanied by her friend, Clem Clam, they begin their quest.  Come journey under the sea to watch local theatre and dance students as they perform.  Patience, love, and friendship solve this delightful family friendly show.
