Dippin' Dots Home Delivery: A Macaroni Kid Review

The Perfect Frozen Treat for Your Summer Pool Party (Sponsored)

By Ashley Morse, Editor and Publisher May 20, 2015
Do your kids love Dippin' Dots Ice Cream? Until recently, I thought Dippin' Dots was only available at amusement parks and zoos. Well, turns out, you can have Dippin' Dots delivered to your home for your next party! How fun is that???

Dippin' Dots sent us several flavors to try for our recent Summer Fun KickOff Party at Resource Depot and let me tell you, they were not only a hit with the kids, but the parents as well. Favorite flavors included Mint Cookie Crunch, Birthday Cake and Strawberry Sorbet. (And, if we are being honest, I think I may have developed a bit of a problem with the Mint Cookie Crunch- it is like a thin mint- oreo - ice cream concoction that is oh so good.)
There are six different types of original Dippin' Dots (ice cream, ice, no sugar added, sherbet, yogurt and sorbet) and come in a ton of delicious flavors to choose from. Take a look at the options for ice cream. YUM.

Right now, Dippin' Dots is offering Macaroni Kid readers one free gallon when you order two gallons plus FREE SHIPPING (use the promo code: SUMMERFUN)!
When you order, you choose your flavors and it will ask you if you want to fill up a cooler- 3 gallons fills a cooler and each gallon has about 30 single servings- so a cooler will serve A LOT of people which is awesome. Your order will include individual serving cups and spoons and will look like this when it arrives:

Keep in mind it ships in dry ice so have it delivered the day before you need it and do not open it until you are ready to serve (the dry ice only lasts about 48 hours and will dissipate more quickly when exposed to air). Ideally, Dippin' Dots should be kept on dry ice to maintain its quality so when you are done with your party you may want to purchase some at Publix right way. Still, I have been told that freezing leftovers (particularly if you have a deep freezer) will work to extend the life of your frozen yummy goodness to some extent (did someone say, Mint Cookie Crunch for days???).
