Have you guys checked out The Counter yet (in the Gardens Mall, near Sears)? All I can say is YUM! The menu is fantastic, you can choose from one of their pre-built burgers, or build your own from the "Create Your Own Burger" menu- dozens of choices not only ensures that you can have exactly what you want, but it is also a fun process for older kids allowing them to exercise their innovation and become their own chef! (A gluten free create your own burger menu is available as well!)

With a fun new interactive kids menu to keep them busy and choices they are sure to like, your little kids are covered, too. Entrees include mini cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, grilled veggie skewers, grilled cheese sandwiches and PB&J. And, while the fries are incredible, they also have more healthful options such as sweet potato fries, applesauce and baby carrots.  Thumbs up from this mama!

My kids loved the veggie skewers, cheeseburger sliders, chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. The Fried Dill Pickles with apricot sauce and the Loaded Tots (with pimento cheese, bacon and ranch) were also a big hit. I had the 'Bison is Gouda' burger (with organic bison, smoked gouda, bacon onion marmalade, spinach, and opted for a Hawaiian Bun) and will be headed back weekly for that one, seriously, OMG good. Shakes, malts and floats round off the meal- my kids couldn't get enough of the Birthday Cake shake and the Caramel Java Melt hit the spot for me. It was a bit early in the day but their spiked shake menu sounds too good - anyone want to meet me for a Thin Mint Shake with Bailey's Irish Cream and mint liqueur?
