Grand Opening for Cartoon Cuts April 2, 2011!

HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR HAIR WASHED BY AN ELEPHANT?

April 1, 2011

Cartoon Cuts, a national chain of hair salons for children, announces the opening of its nineteenth location at Downtown at the Gardens, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  The grand opening is April 2, 2011, from 10-2 and will feature “Ellie” the elephant, raffle prizes, mini-manicures and more. 10% of all proceeds during the event will be donated to Locks of Love, a charity that provides hair pieces to children suffering from long term medical hair loss.

According to Jane Alford, Director of Store Operations for Cartoon Cuts, “We are delighted to be opening in such an outstanding center with so many upscale family related businesses as our neighbors. It is a fabulous destination for shopping, dining and entertaining for the entire family.  The children can now enjoy having their hair washed by an elephant and watching their favorite movie while getting their hair cut!”

“Locks of Love is extremely grateful to Cartoon Cuts for their generous volunteerism. The donations and support received from this event will further our efforts to help children living with the daily trials of hair loss. Continuing awareness of Locks of Love’s efforts will assist us in reaching more and more families and improving the day to day lives of these children.” Lauren Kukkamaa, Communications Director, Locks of Love

We have already been to Cartoon Cuts! Last week, in preparation for family photos, I took my toddler and 10-year old step daughter to get their hair cut at Cartoon Cuts.  The girls had a great time getting their hair washed by a giant elephant and then they watched Sponge Bob while their hair was being trimmed. Their haircuts came out great and the girls were all smiles. And, what a great location! We made an afternoon of it and had yogurt at the new Fro-Yotopia and then rode the carousel, several times. We are so happy that they have opened right here in PBG!
